Whatever happened to the old know-how section? This one stops at the point the job starts becoming less than obvious; the point almost any klutz will have got to before looking on here. Torque setting anybody? Where to run the hose? What angel to align the banjo? What to do if there isn't enough adjustment on the caliper? What to do if the caliper dosen't align? Facing the mounts?

How to fit a helicoil?

The old how-to section had some good guides and advice in, these new one are an embarrassment (not to me of course, I didn't write them, honest). Anyone looking for advice to do a job on their bike is going to look at that and never visit BM again.

So while it may be a good idea to have the  maintenance section sponsored, it needs a bit of editorial control over the content of the guides, I am sure it would be better for BM, cycle systems and the reader to produce some useful guides rather than the rather laughable content they have produced so far.

What angel to align the banjo?

I would try and invoke Michael as he resides over Hod, or Sandalphon maybe, being that he's the earth angel...

Nah, you know I'm crap at lining stuff up.

Maybe we could do a guide for BM? Although we would have to let JG cast his eye over it before we went public.

Oh FFS, what have I spelt wrong now?

I get an error if I try to look at the 'guide'.

"This page cannot be found". Who's working on a Sunday?

You've haven't spelt anything wrong but there are a couple in my opening post Mike as Hans noticed. I tend to invert letters as I type. A spell checker would have picked up "dosen't" but only reading through would have picked up "angel", and I'm too lazy for that.

The angel thing seemed fitting for a Sunday...

Don't you start getting all sandals and beards!

I don't have to - John's got that angel covered...
