McCartney victim Tanner rejoins Provision with new bike and grocery deal

After being left out in the cold when vegetarian frozen food / ready meal magnates Linda McCartney pulled the plug on their race team, National Champion John Tanner has re-joined the Provision squad under manager Steve Joughin.

Tanner will be reuniting with Mark Lovatt and Wayne Randle with assistance from Ribble Cycles and everyone's favourite cycle supporting fruit and veg suppliers, the Doncaster Farm shop. The team have been massively succesful in the previous two seasons and Joughin commented - "We're very proud to have John back. His positive attitude and attacking riding style are precisely what our brand is all about - we're not the biggest clothing company around but we take great pride in the fact that we are supporting the sport that supports us and so long as John, Mark and Wayne just go out there and race with their usual blood and guts, take no prisoners attitude then that's more than enough for us.

Full team and sponsor details will be released next week but presumably Tanner is over the moon with his new local grocery partners after being well and truly burgered by the multi-nationals.
