Good to know we are being listened to!
Well argued subjectivety is fine by me

None of this is necessarily set in stone, of course. The main thing is that however we do it needs to be useful for the readers. So if it'd be more useful done some other way, let us know :-)

"Performance - So scores should be comparable between similar products."

"Value - Value scores are really based on how much similar products cost."

Can you let us know what 'similar products' are when you do your reviews? I think this would be useful to the readers.

I always thought editorial reviewing was about providing an informed opinion. And opinions are, of course, subjective.

Ratings are a tool used by the reviewer to help hard-of-thought readers understand the meaning of the words the reviewer used to convey their opinion. Ratings, when used in this context, are inherently subjective.

But maybe you know better? Maybe you know how to review products objectively?

Why don't you start in the member review system by objectively reviewing the comfort of the seat on your bike?

Why have a system of scoring where rubbish gets a score? If it is that bad it should score ZERO!
As your lowest ie 1 and probably 2 will never be used there is no point in having them either!
Only time will tell but you seem to have adopted a system which will in practise be a score out of 3!
but what company would be foolish enough to send a product so bad it gets 0? i mean, they must realise their product is flawed in pretty much every way

No product for testing should be sent. It must be purchased indipendantly to ensure that it is not a special one off. Testing of products that the supplier knows are going to be tested is a waste of time. What company would be foolish enough to send a less than perfect product to be tested?

i've read quite a few reviews were there was a 'prototype' problem . Just wonder if its a fall back excuse, when things haven't be liked or broken.
