What about LED Valvetips? Can anyone make an actual comparison of visibility on the road. I really think I can put my money on them valvetips....but a want an expert opinion.

I had some that came free with a mag, they were quite bright but were activated by large vibrations so on smooth sections of tarmac they gave out no light at all!
I also found that the one on the front was a bit of a distraction to the eye
The centripedal force should activate them, as they spin around 2 bits of metal that come into contact when this happens.

I find the rear one distracts me, never tried on the front, just keep seeing a light out of the corner of my eyes and looking around expecting to see another bike.

Eh? WTF is that? A force for creatures with many legs?

Great minds, Nick! :-)
I didn't even know it was illegal to have a flashing light anyway! :-|

>>Centrifugal Dylan...

actually its Centripetal. Centrifugal is a virtual force.

"A centripetal force is that by which bodies are drawn or impelled, or any
way tend, towards a point as to a center". so says the man Newton.
*shudders at the thought of the centripetal force*

that topic was too long

Public schools eh Dylan ;)
Yep, no such thing as centrifugal force. It was invented for simple people and children. There is no force outward... if you were to swing a weight around your head, you force the weight in (change direction). If you didn't it would fly off at a tangent (in the direction it was last headed), not straight out (from the centre).

What is the force that throws me off the bike in random directions, unrelated to the direction I was last headed?

Yay, I'm a simple person!
