Isn't there a "don't release article until April 1st"?

IS there nothing Shimano won't try and do, now they are making microwaves as well...
It's an oven rather than a microwave. I was disappointed, I was hoping it'd go "bing" when they were done.
Actually Lake had oven-ready shoes at Interbike the other year too. Never saw them in the UK and I think they might have only shaped the footbeds.
I suppose if you spend many many hours in the saddle you would reap the benefit of bespoke contact points.
weekend warriors would i reckon, find little benefit.
To be fair they are not exactly a weekend warrior shoe, full carbon sole and pretty much no tread on the bottom.
I can't bring myself to ride my pair in the cold and wet, they look too nice.
Ah those Japanese and their famous sense of humour.
Maybe they do have a sense of humour. Spare parts for LX M580 chainsets start 1FU which is always fun saying to customers F U.

So what happens on the 4th time of remoulding ?
Can we say they've caught up to the BG system spesh use in terms of comfort?
Whatever next? Studs and grippy soles on their winter boots?
Remoulding to accomodate thicker winter socks, perhaps?
What happens when your feet heat up and swell?
What happens during a trans-desert race when when the shoes hit the same temp they remould at ??
 You melt as well.
Whilst I agree that BG shoes are comfy, I fall right between sizes, although they do a 44.5 in the US, they don't import it, I'd be tempted to try some of those Shimano ones if my S-Works ones have fallen apart, the heel lift is annoying!
I take it brant Shimano dont want it to be shouted about till April Fools Day ;-) its in this months MBR...
I saw them reviewed in a US mag last October, hardly hush hush :-)
10 out of 10 in the MBR review if my memory serves me correctly. Deliveries of both the road and MTB shoes should be going out this week.
I've got a pair of 44.5 BG Pro shoes, Nick ;-)
The Shimanos are guaranteed to be remouldable three times, I'm told that in practice they'll do more, they just don't guarantee it.
Foot swelling: It's not as if they become completely rigid once moulded - really it's just taking out the gaps that you probably have in your shoes at the moment. They can still give to accommodate a bit of foot enlargement.
As for desert conditions, if your feet reach 130C I suspect that you'll have bigger problems than your shoes going soft ;-)
that'll never work carrying all that heavy pump on the bike and stuff
