wonder if there's any reason why you couldn't use it with the weird dual control shifters other than that they'd shift in the other direction? That didn't seem to bother Shimano when they introduced reverse spring mechs for use with rapidfire!
at last shimano have added some carbon to their rear mechs. now if they could do the same with dura-ace, i'll be a happy man
Come on David, you're in the business you must have heard about the 2008 DA group?
2008 dura-ace, why, what have you heard??
Comes with a free faberge egg.
All I've heard is that there will be a token amount of carbon and some new cranks. I got the impression (although he wouldn't be drawn on it) that the cranks won't be carbon.
They will be made of ivory.
 Ah there's a man who's heard something ;)
 I hear many things.
 Voices perhaps!?
Shimano are vehement that aluminium is the best material to make cranks from. If there's a DA group with carbon bits I shall get my order in though...
Look good on my new Madone frame :-)
I heard they were getting rid of the stupid bolts in the LH crank as per XTR.
nah, them pinch bolts are what make my saints work, mike & splines don't get on well!
I don't think they're 08 DA parts John, just the electronic group parts?
Ok Mike, just the electric bits and the rim.
I have already seen the wheels in the office and the whole 2008 wheel range is already on our system code numbers start WH7850.
Quick question... I've never liked the idea of dual brake/shifters but I'm liking the look of the new XTR ST-M975 kit. Do you know of anywhere that has reviewed them?
Any carbon clinchers Mark? Those DA 50mm ones are loverly! But I think clinchers are definitely more sensible! You seen this Mike and David?
Umm, they need to look at the aesthetics of carbon IMO, the weave makes those look like early Campag carbon cranks.
