Outstanding. Great to hear a rider doing it for the love of a crazy challenge and being in the countryside seeing crazy stuff. Inspiring stuff Rob

Nice report Rob and well done for that mammoth ride.

I do a 25 mile loop on the sdw in just under 2 and a half hours and think I feel worse than you did after 22hrs.Champion effort.

I think we all duffed our helmets, for that one

any more info on the iron horse you were riding, spec and such, would be interesting to see what makes a bike that is a riders bike of choice for this type of mental thing.

Could anyone see a SDW back to back race happening ever?? bit like those mad epic american off road races that are 3 weeks long or something stupid.

Cool, I think you'd struggle to find more of an "all day bike" requirement than that

Serge, you can see pics of his bike on the original Bikemagic story here (if you can't see all the pics, right-click on "Last Update" and select "Open in new window").

Nice idea about a race, but it's such a tough ride I'm not sure you'd get too many entrants! (and of course racing isn't allowed on public bridleways, so it would have to be against the clock). There is an idea floating about for an SDW there-and-back event over 3 days too, which is maybe more realistic for people whose name isn't Rob Lee
