Double damn - Jenn was going to smash the record.. bringing it in for Brighton. Damn

She's still going, 300 miles left to run at last report and recovered from her illness. With the 24 day cutoff she's got till Monday noon so assuming she's fully recovered she's good for it (I saw a post elsewhere from Carl Hutchings - 2nd place GDR finisher - and his guess is she'll finish Sunday AM). Go Jenn go!

Carl Hutchings came 2nd, which is a bloody good effort! He may as well be a Brit!

Hey Nick Its funny you think im from south africa.I did live there for a while, kinda became a deadend when i had ambitions of cycling around the world. I was born in bedfordshire, lived here for 19 years then left to cycle tour, returned 10 years later and here i still am in surrey. looks like i could be right for a change,Jenn is likely to finish AM sunday. You know you see her at Mayhem, she wins, she`s good but until GDR i just didnt realise what she was made of,she is amazing.

I'm gonna be quiet then Carl, just what I'd heard from people at Beyond I think! Congratulations on a great ride anyway, I still see you around Cranleigh periodically, I'll say hi next time!

Fantastic ride from the Brighton lady. I doff my cap, take a bow and shout 3 cheers to her.

Riding 150 mile days for two weeks is mind boggling. I've just done three centuries back to back and I'm quite pleased with myself, but I couldn't conceieve of doing that. Good luck with the giardia. I got it in 1993 and, to be honest, my stomach's never been the same since. BTW, you don't take antibiotics - you use sulphur drugs like Metronidazole, the same stuff you use to treat the clap....
