That picture of the Vision 2 is last year's model - the new one is still a similar shape but the design is more like the Vision 4...plus the battery pack is rubber like the V4 and not in a neoprene case.. Have had mine for almost a month now and I'm very impressed!

The old black one also has less powerful LEDs, giving out 300 lumens or about that, instead of the 480 lumens the new silver fronted one has. If you are going to buy one, make sure you get the one with the silver front for more power and the same cost! Dave

But really the most interesting thing is Thermal Throttling I don't know how it works, i don't care if it works. It just sounds cool

Max Mosley will know what it is, sounds his kinda thing.

Careful, he'll sue you for invasion of privacy as well

Invasion of privacy, invasion of Poland, which is worse?

Depends on if I'm Max or from Poland, I suppose Saw the lights in the flesh at the 24/12 today: Ribbed, for your pleasure? (looks just like a Cateye 'doubleshot' to me...) Beefy. If a driver says he didn't see you coming with this then he's got issues. Nice looking lights, helpful guy on the stand. But the bit that really got my attention was this: Is it wrong that I really, really want this?

I don't like the new power phasing. With the old ones it was High, Medium, Low, Flashing, High......................... When you get to Flashing you know one more push of the button will give you High. The new ones go in the opposite direction (lowest to highest then flashing) making it far easier to overshoot max power just when you don't want to. I told them that at a trade show earlier this year but they wouldn't see it my way!

It's all far too involved for me. I just want 'off' and 'on'. I don't think it's too much to ask that a light keeps us luddites happy, is it?
