 h-h-h-h-h......how much
£7,149, it says in the article
The guys at my local shop reckon it rides very very well, they say that Scott really seem to have got it right this time. It's about time they built a decent full suss bike really, so maybe this is it.
yes, but, where's my credit card...
"Hello bank manager, I'd like to borrow £7200 for a pushbike please" "A PUSHBIKE????! HAVE YOU NOT READ THE NEWS RECENTLY??? CREDIT CRUNCH YEAH??!! **** OFF!!" Anyway that HammerSchimdt website is pretty annoying, anyone know how it works yet?
 Whirly planetary coggy magic.
Intriguing.... Shift whilst not pedalling whirly witchcraft methinks! (mehopes, gadzooks)
If I was serious - seven grand serious - about marathons/enduros I'd be straight on a Spark not a Genius.
Cheaper models are available I sometimes think that manufacturers rather shoot themselves in the foot with these attention-grabbing top-spec models that nobody actually buys
Is there anything over the £10k mark yet?
 yeah, but it's roadie stuff
If I was spending 7k then I have a custom build anyway, not some off the peg American thing.
__________.jpg) Yeah exactly, who on earth would buy that? Even if money were no object I wouldn't be in the least bit interested.
It's like they've just picked the most expensive bits out of a catalogue and thrown them at a frame.
 Talk about fussy......
For 7k I'd be very fussy.
 Swiss stuff, not American
I have to say I'm not sure which bits I'd change for my "money no object" build. Although it's all rather moot, as money generally is an object
__________.jpg) I'd start with the frame
It'll be bought by city types with too much money, who are told it's the best thing. Probably makes more sense than spending a similar amount on a Merida 96, or Spark LTD, which will never see a race number! I think it's ugly.
