So how do they get those 1-piece belts onto the frame?
Show/hide user stats
That's what the two little bolts above the driveside dropout are for.  Take 'em out and split the back end.

Gotcha....I suppose on a lot of full sussers you could take some pivots apart to do that. Difficult out on the trail though
Show/hide user stats
no as the belt would not take any extension. like trying to run single speed on a full sus without a deralier

tensioner?

From what I have read the belt has to be very tight so a tensioner would have to have a heck of a spring in it to maintain that and prevent slipping.

They will find a way

I am sure they will, there are some clever folk out there.

I shouldn't worry too much about it. Shaft drive will be the next big thing.

Just use the Belt Drive on a URT Design,   or like the Kona's with the pivot going around the BB shell,  talking CamBelt tension nearly to keep these things working.

MmmMmmm... belt drive Ti Lynskey Newsboy... tasty. *drools*

Mountain Cycle newness. Thanks David

I'm sceptical as to the newness quotient of the MC stuff myself, but the Fury is ace
Show/hide user stats
Yeah. Me too. Sadly. I heard there were big things coming but I guess not ready yet. I do like that limited edition Rumble though and the almost military green of that Fury was great.

Big things are never as big as people make them out to be,  so there always a disapointment.

But the first MC's I'd ride,  even if that 1 looks like a Enduro SL's down tube with a Trek Carbons steerer tube assembly!!
