I think it looks quite good, in a "join the dots" kind of way.

If only they could get some curve on the Alchemists fork stanchions.Thankfully there was a layback seatpost to use for the shot.
Ohhhhh Curved forks would work, have to be a fixed curve matched with the lowers ofcourse, but the back and up action would make them alot plusher ( maybe ) for riding into rocks and stuff, hmmmmmmmmm.
The PRST-1 front fork had a back-and-up action, and no-one liked it
Yeah but via linkages, not in a conventional telescopic design. Starts working out ways to bend the lowers and uppers
Have a google for a motorbike called the Confederate Wraith. Big curved carbon linkage forks. AFAIK their movement is just up and down rather than up and back. I think curved telescopics would bever work because as soon as you get and twisting forces the stanchions would jam somewhat and stop being very efficient. Or, try the Bimota Tesi, true hub steering would allow you curved forks too.

Hard to make a Damper rod thats curved and the coil won't like bending or a air seal likely won't work and loads of other issues. Other than all that, it would likely make a better fork for riding into things ( Worse for landing things ) , I'll Patent it anyway

Me no likey that Alchemist. Dunno why, just no likey.
I don't like either, but i do prefer to the current shock position on the Quads and the like!!
Me no likey too. The Mount Vision looks ok though, a bit like the Whyte jobby.
All this hydroforming is making bikes too curvy.
The Alchemist curves aren't totally gratuitous, though. There's bits of frame that need to point in particular ways to make it all work. Not instantly loveable, though, I'll admit
 I kinda like it
I've always liked how Marin's looked (even had a few in my time) but have to admit this one is gonna take a while to grow on me. Be interested to find out how it rides though

Mike, "The PRST-1 front fork had a back-and-up action, and no-one liked it " Speak for yerself - I liked the ride of the PRST4 - back and up axle path definitely easier to get over obstacles, what I didn't like was the heavy front biased weight. Have also test ridden a BMW motor bike cantilever front suspension and the action was fantastic.

This one's OK, but it is black which helps IMO. Way too much travel though.

 Way too much travel though.
you really think so?

3" is too much in my book though David. Just enough to take the sting out of a hard trail is enough.

"The PRST-1 front fork had a back-and-up action, and no-one liked it" I did
