So what are you saying? Vertical compliance (sat and stood), or a seat that flexes?

Great writeup there, doesn't make me want to have one (Brants Ti 456 is the current object of lust) but there was enough detail to definatley make me want to see one in the flesh, just to get my head round it! OT, there is a fricking cool picture of Jeff in the Hardtail issue of Dirt hitting a not inconsequential drop on one of these, and with his massive beard its rather impressive...

That article has been shamelessly pinched from Shift magazine!

Brant, pretty sure it's just sat, why I / We theorise On Ones make comfy bikes, low stand over + 27.2mm post + reasonible post angle!! I saw a similar front end wise looking 29er recently, looked nice, though that'd suite me, I'm after a comfy 29er HT just checked the price, HOW MUCH for just the frame!!!

the frame isn't that much Dyl, only equivalent to 550 pairs of 18650's

So what are you saying? Vertical compliance (sat and stood), or a seat that flexes? It's meant to be a bit of each, but the flexy seat thing is the only one I could definitely tell was happening
Isn't there a word for that?
 Dunno, let's ask dylan
 Leverage could be it
How much compliance can a bike possess before it is no longer deemed rigid?
Isn't there a word for that? If you're trying to get me to say v*rt*c*l c*mp**nc*, I'm not going to
Nice write up Mike. I so want one of these, but my wife quite rightly points out that it is an insane amount of money to spend on a bike when we still don't own a home! Maybe for my 50th, that seems far enough away.

Still can't make out if the seattube is welded to the seatstays. I guess if they're not attached they'd flex too much? Like a Bow-Ti without the shock...

Still can't make out if the seattube is welded to the seatstays. There's a small bridge behind the seat tube. check here, last row of images at the bottom of page, 3rd from left (can't link direct link to image): http://www.jonesbikes.com/production_framesets.html

T'other thing, Mike... how does it cope with grovelly bottom gear steep climbs? Seated?
Brant what's "grovelly" bottom gear steep climbs? Seated? When I got mine (the WMTB test bike off Biff) it was geared which felt like cheating on climbs as it was just so easy, what with those H bars. I've since SS'ed (saving the gears for when my knees give in) and it feels 2 cogs better either seated or stood up on climbs. I've still got 2 of your Inbreds and love riding them nearly as much. This is one of a few studio shots that Jeff had done of the same bike and it's how I got it after the WMTB review.
Shame I can't make the Calderdale ride tomorrow ride on it tomorrow so you could have a go on it, but my man flu's worst than yours.........
Oh and here's the bridge/stay picture you were after Hope it helps
