Why no Nitrous any more - 5.5lbs for "XC" - nice machine but they need a light one.

5.5lbs isn't light enough for a 4" travel aluminium full sus frame that costs less than a small car?

Why no Nitrous any more

I think they probably had enough to be going on with. The Nitrous was a tiny seller already. If enough people make enough noise I'm sure it'll come back, though

As for the weight, there's a difference between "XC" and "XC race"

How, I wonder, does the 2009 compare to the 2008?

The rear end is changed and looks very different I grant you, but has anyone done a back-to-back comparison yet on the two designs?

Why did they change suspension design? BM like what they rode, and I have a 2007 (?) design Flux but have no funds to go swapping bikes on the back of one rave review, but am still interested in what the differences might be.  Is everyone called Dave all of a sudden?

Questions, questions!

Dave (Turner) handed a bunch of his existing customers the new bikes and asked them to try them out against the older design. Apparently people liked the changes.

Although when he did that with his long term users as he went from Horst links to the seatstay pivot they really liked that change as well.

Personally I'm really sad to see Dave (Turner) going over to the DW link. I'm not into tradition for the sake of it but he'd been doing it his way for a very long time, and it worked brilliantly, even after the shift from the Horst link.

Now it's just another range of bikes with the DW link. Whoop de bloomin' do.

To be fair, there aren't that many ranges of bikes with the DW link, and they're not all Turners.  He's still doing it his way
