The Black run is great, but i really hope that they have sorted out the flow, some parts were so eroded after years of use that is was just a maze of holes that had formed between the roots.

Only place I've ever actually buckled a wheel, trying to catch my mate on a socom when I was on a hardtail

Did you read the article serge:

'described as having a lot more 'flow' which it was apparently previously lacking'

Yeah the new guy up at Aston Hill has done a very good job according to those who know about riding down hills.

Yes but it wouldn`t be hard to give the balck run more flow as in the past it was like the M1 in rush hour,

The top section through the bomb holes and along the edge of the track flowed ok, but then it just pointed downhill and was just corner after corner, Fine back in the day but after years of abuse was steep bermed corners with 16 inch wheel size holes, then root, then hole.

was almost impossible to ride on a hardtail and was almost more like a trials course.

anyway will have to pop up again at some point and have a play.

The day was good, with the runs' been very dry - didn't compete but fun to watch.
