spoken with someone at giant and they admit there catalogue misprinted the headsets and in fact they use a "semi-integrated.. ie internal ie low stack" headsets on all but a few mtn bikes. not the stated integrated headset.
i also have a trance x frame.. as does another staff member here. another staffer has an anthem frame aswell. we have all concured that they use semi integrated/internal headsets. if you look at the close up in this review you will actually see the silver cup sitting flush with the frame. you can also check wikipedia for an in depth account on which is which.
also most in the know will also know that chris king has finally made an internal/semi integrated headset that giant have been using for their pro racers who ride the anthem with said headsets.

this picture on his site shows said anthem with his chris king "inset" ( another name for semi- integrated/ internal of even low stack headset. not "integrated" as you have stated.
also i have weighed my 2009 medium trance x frame when it arrived at the shop and the weight scale showed 2.5446 kilos or 5.61 lbs in old money. not 5.93 as you stated. these are all based on medium frames with rear hangers and shock.
the 2009 anthem x medium frame wieghed in at what you have stated.. so you got that right.
i have been selling giant bikes for some years now and have replaced hundreds of headsets in my time. please in future admit when you have got it wrong and move on from it.
also i will enjoy my extra 7mm from the 120mm you have stated. i need all the extra mm i can get !!! lol
either way keep up the good work... your reviews are generally very good and true!!!!
