As a relative beginner this book gives a good starting point and from there on it is down to you to establish and build your own routes.

The book is easy to follow but some small very important details have been left out which could make some of the routes less confusing but that's part of the fun.

The gradings like in every book vary depending on the author and the conditions.

Overall this publication is varied and gives choices and a good starting point.

I've got that book too.  I 've only done a couple of rides in it and they both seemed a bit family orientated to be honest.  There was very little that couldn't have been done on a Hybrid.

The best spots I've found so far around dorset are Purbeck in general and St Catherine's hill just north of Bournemouth.

The new forest is dull and you're not allowed to go 'off piste.'

There's very little in England that couldn't be done on a hybrid, if we're brutally honest with ourselves

Although not in Dorset, the Isle of Wight's worth checking out if you're on the south coast.
