Want/Need, which side does it fall?
Show/hide user stats
Erm, if the wife is asking it's definately 'need'. If I'm honest with myself, it's 'want'.

It usually is eh? :)

Hmmmm...

(Thinks about the spare room full of 3 bikes, more spares than you can point a stick at and and 4 drawers full of riding gear)

....yeah.

It'll be nicer for the wife being able to roll the "spares" out of the way instead of having to pick them up and move them about don't you think?

What happens when you hit the brakes? My carbon roadie forks are elastic to the point of being worrying when I brake hard and other carbon forks I've tried are the same.

"but On-One has finally pulled its finger out and made a completely different aluminium frame" I assume what this actually means is that On One have finally asked a Taiwanese factory to make them some ally frames?

To be fair, doesn't Brandt do all the design work?

Our steel builders (usually you'd have a different factory for steel and aluminium frames) actually specialise in aluminium frames, and were continually amused by our love of steel.

They asked me if i wanted to make an aluminium frame and I mumbled and grumbled about a stiff ride etc... which is how we ended up with the Scandal being made up like it has been :-). And it's ace!

But your "carbon roadie forks" probably aren't a constant 33.70mm in diameter (slimming down at the dropout makes a big difference to braking performance).

Forgive me I was wrong. The Taiwanese said "come on Brant get with the times man".
How much Comfort does it give, compared to a complaint Alu frame ?? ( tried 456's can't feel the alledged comfort, but need to test with my rear wheel/fat tyre in place )
Is it strong enough for hard use from a 16stone+ person ??
Cost ??

The Forks okay for my weight aswell, not for hard use just light XC!!

* Edit, carbon and Alu, Carbon being the Fork I see, not rear end of the frame *

Edited: 23/04/06 14:23
Sorry £200 then for frame alone I guess.

Will the rear end, fit 2.5inch area tyres ?? for increased comfort!!
