Isn't the MRP on a Carbon Deviant £150?

And a carbon full face helmet that's the lightest on the market for £150 should get 5 stars for value. Have you seen the price of a troy lee or a THE helmet??

I personally would give it the full quota of stars as its the best full face i've ever had. Better than the crashed helmet it replaced wich was the highly regarded carbon mad max II

I'll give you 3 goats and a camel for it.

Seems a fair offer from PMJ.

I agree with JD though, the retail certainly was £150, which is blinding frankly!

This must be a new Deviant. Last year’s carbon model came in a matt black design. I’ve got the fibreglass version from last year which is in a silver and black tribal style.

Must say that I’d rather have this one in the camo – looks pretty cool.

I got this after my South Downs Way spill (the broken collar bone incident) as I hit my face badly. It was so bruised that even opening my mouth to eat was painful. I was lucky not to do anything else! So I bought this as it looked pretty well vented. It’s the breeziest full face I’ve used – my bother has a Giro Remedy (which he got after falling off the Bedgebury north shore stuff and managed to dislodge the lens in his eye – nice) which is very comfy, but can get really hot. Don’t think the matt black helps!

All in all it's a damn fine lid.

I have the matt black one (prettier IMO), and its plenty cool enough for normal riding. Great lid, not landed on my head yet though...

Oh and yes, it was £150. Which is a bargain for something which no other manufacturer offers at any money. That is to say, a properly vented real full face lid.

Its a great day when you pick yourself up after faceplanting, shake yourself off, and realise that there are gobs of mud smeared all up the mouthpiece. At that second it all very much becomes money well spent!

Like the look of this puppy, and at that price I'll definatly give it a look in when I put my 661 to bed...

you're right, the price is in fact £150.

Big Dave the Mighty, it is last year's colour scheme. when they first launched there was either matt black or the team colours that we tested. agreed matt black looks cooler.

My black helmet looks the b*llocks and it could be said it is team as its Bear claws(berrecloth) signature model.

So now its down by £30 is it 5 star value?

It ain't pretty but does the Casco Viper not give a decent amount of protection and not require you to have a separate lid for everyday / less extreme use by virtue of its removable chin guard?

I used to thing the D-ring (moto style buckle) was an issue but actually it's easier - you leave it done up, loosen to take the lid off and it's a piece-a-cake!

For some reason though, I dont want to ride around with "Specialized" written across my head...but at least my brain wouldnt melt like it does in my Troy Lee
