That XR Carbon shock looks very tasty!
i do think all the forks looked a bit nicer in their pace guise though

I fancy one of those EX200s for my Prophet :¬)
I agree they should of kept pace as a sub brand like trek and bonty that way they will keep the loyal pace fans and kept building them in yorkshire instead of Biele keep the "made in the UK" pedigree as well

We had one of those carbon shocks in, it was absolutely gorgeous! Mentally light too.
Maybe the connotations (sp?) of Pace were too negative, I wouldn't buy a Pace fork because of questionable reliability among other reasons, but I'd consider a DT fork, on the basis that they've hopefully applied more than their own decals to them!
 Mentally light ?
What about physically ?
;-)
the decals on the forks look bloody awfull dont they.
never mind, theyll peel off to revial carbon loveliness..
Ugly, I say. Will stay with Manitou for the while.
"on the basis that they've hopefully applied more than their own decals to them".......... looks like they have done no more than that to the Pace forks (beauty is in the eye of the beholder - lovely in my view so I'll stay with my Pace for a while). I really can't see any difference - anyone know more?
mmm... Lets hope they've revamped the Pace quality - I had three sets of Pace forks and I only eventually learnt thaat an enduro was impossible without a greaseport injection and a full strip down at half way! - this was sometime agothough so maybe things have improved.., they're certainly very light - but those decals NO! - Ill takr an RLT thankyou very much.

i think the end of 2008 will see some changes queeg. once dt swiss get there heads around there new venture...

"I agree they should of kept pace as a sub brand like trek and bonty that way they will keep the loyal pace fans and kept building them in yorkshire instead of Biele keep the "made in the UK" pedigree as well"
I think having them made in the UK was part of the reliability problem. I think that having them made in a facility better equipped for QC and sed to larger batches would iron out some of these issues.
Oh and the decals do look effing gash.
fair enough ive been reading up Belie supposedly has lots of watch factories so lots of precision engineers thre but what about hope you never hear about any unreliability with them
poor qc is down to poor management. something this country is good at.
pace forks were great designs but suffered from faults in the manufacturing process.

#trys to work out if karl is being sarcastic#
The Japs have got British workers to produce quality stuff so why not the Swiss?
read the top of the thread im agreeing that pace shold be kept in yorkshire!"made in the UK"
Any word on price? I would definitely be interested in the bolt through axle model if the travel is adjustable.
fwiw karl i agree with you, i think its a shame.
mmmm, sexy carboness. The decals are a bit on the retro side though, but maybe it's the next big think in graphics...
I think the presision swiss image will however help shift the parts, so it may be a good move on DT's part.
 but those decals look terrible,
and they really look like they have chosen the colour scheme of Rotwild bikes.
Prices are going up a bit in the UK compared to Pace, so as the EXC150 is effectively the RC41 Fighter 20mm, then over £600 for them I'd estimate (£590 this year). They're not travel adjustable (apart from having the lock down). DT have dropped all the coil sprung RC40 type forks, which were the only one's with travel adjust.
