i'm undecided, i'd like to see it as a full bike really...

but it looks better than most.

Any idea of weight?

There are not published figures at the moment but from speaking to someone on the inside it is looking like it will be pretty damn light.

thats what i was wondering

I'm guessing it'll be a full bike only, frames from bike companies tend to be hugely expensive compared to their full builds

there ti frame is £1300ish

I'd like to see them get some carbon full-sus bikes out there, use their sweet rear system & get the frame weight down. The alu meta's are a bit bloated for xc use.

From what I understand they are planning on two complete bikes and frame only options.  Not got any details on specs of the bikes or any prices either yet.

I would take any claimed weights with a huge pinch of salt. Commencal don't have a good rep for accurate weights or even light products come to think of it. I love my Commencal NUTS VIP dearly but when you pay £500 for a frame claimed to be 1.4kg and it turns out to be over 1.9kg you can't help but be disappointed! Even non weightweenies should be dismayed with that

1.84kg for a 4X hardtail(Absolut 4X) is light though. Provided, as you say, the weight is correct.

True that is an impressive weight for a 4X hardtail but if you're thinking of buying largely for weight reasons then it may be worth double checking first. If their lightest XC hardtail comes out at 1.9kg then who knows

However I could just be unlucky and sound bitter for no apparent reason
