I have broken four toupe saddles, each bent on the rails, only weigh 12st stone, Specialized advised they arent to be used for Mountain Biking.
Despite them being used by the Pro's, guess they can afford to replace them.
Got a team SL Phenom last Saturday, fitted it in the morning, to the hardtail, bent a rail two hours later on one side, literally just riding along, sent it back to specialized as per the previous lot.
To date they have always replaced the broken saddles, so no problem there.
The phenom as per poster above is too wide at the back to get yer ass off quickly, much prefer the toupe.
Despite the problems I really like the feel of the toupe saddle and have it on all my bikes
However reading the posts above and my own experience seems to suggest a quality control issue somewhere.
