 White frames FTW!
 White frames are faster.
 Faster yet heavier ime.

IIRC these frames were found when Titus were moving - they opened some boxes they hadn't expected to find and up popped these. Add some new graphics and a fancy headset - Voila! limited edition T'is very pretty regardless.

“…representing amazing value in the current economic climate.” Hmmm, having only a slight grasp of economics I may be wrong here, but surely in the current economic climate, where people aren't spending money on luxury items and leisure generally, this represents a severe dip in "demand", hence "supply" turns to "over supply" and hence prices should drop dramatically. Or am I wrong?

Oh, and I think the white & green looks fucking horrible.

I like the white and green, but it amuses me that they're doing a 'special edition' of a bike they've admitted is being made obsolete by a much better model. They must be a few years old, they've not been US made for ages. Hopefully better than my US made one, which was nissed as a pewt and ate shock linkages for breakfast!

The vast majority of Titus bikes are still made in the USA including the Motolite and the Racer X, both still current models for 2009. With the introduction of the Titus FTM (Full Tilt motolite) at 135mm travel there is still a demand for 100mm and 100-125mm frames for UK riding so these frames are still in production. Regarding the price, an American built frame with a King headset at this price represents very good value in comparison to other US or Taiwanese built frames from similar custom brands. Some brands have announced 15% price increases from Jan 1st so these frames are aggressively priced even with the 25% devaluation of the £ against the $ in recent months. BTW 4assedmonkey, the Racer X is still available in many other colours including anodized options at no extra charge for those that might not like the limited frame. Thanks.

 I prefer it in yellow.

Doesnt seem like the white and green is liked by anyone but me, which means your not going to sell it. Ergo you should just post it FOC to me to free up the warehouse space.

I'm sure there going to sell, so i doubt gossa will send you one for free (assuming gossa is Clive from Axel the importers)

Trevor, I love the white and green one. Imagine that with Industry9 XC wheels with the green spokes and hubs, schweet! Several dealers pre ordered that one also so plenty of people are liking that as well but alas, I have just given away the last free one Yes Luke I am Clive from Axel Imports. Didn't want to stick my head above the parapit but felt I should comment.
Well if anyone changes there mind my offer is always there.
Sorry Gossa, but I don't ride suspension bikes and I'm skint so won't be buying one anyway - just commenting on the aesthetics.
No need to apologize, if we all had the same tastes then the world would be a pretty dull place eh?

Maybe they should have said it was a 'Limited Edition', as in limited ability compared to the newer model?
I do quite like it though and I don't normally say that about Titus.

Why is this frame limited ability Mike? The new 'X'model has 10mm more travel and is 1/2lb lighter at £300 more with the same suspension design. As for a the 'X' obsoleting the Racer X, it hasn't and as for it being 'much better', mmm, depends on your POV. If 10mm extra travel and 1/2lb less weight is worth £300 then there's your answer....

Why is this frame limited ability Mike?
I've no idea gossa, ask Nick he's forgotten more about Titus than most will ever know.
Haha! Thanks Mike! My Racer X was a great bike I must admit, I got very very frustrated with its penchant for snapping linkages, and Titus US's solution was not what I deemed satisfactory. Nor was the 3 months it took to reach such a point. It's put me off ever buying another frame from a small manufacturer, I'd paid a lot of money for something which broke, and the aftersales was not good. Admittedly not helped by the fact the importer had changed from when I bought the frame. Had it been a Specialized/Trek/Giant/Scott etc, the end result may have been the same, but would've been reached in days, not months! Live and learn and that...
