Now, I bought one of these to replace my E2 last year and the retail then was £49.99, so apart from the graphics where has the £25 price increase gone to?

Mind you just seen Giro have increased the Hex from £49.99 to £74.99 too. Ridiculous

You lot must be imagining the price increases in everything you buy except houses. That 50% price increase is all in your head. Your helmet and other clothing went down 10% or so, and if the BBC says it, it must be true. Edit: I am simply gob smacked that a journalist could write an article on inflation without going into depth on the impact of exchange rates. The pound has lost between 10% and 45% compared with the currencies of countries Britain buys from and that is highly inflationary.

Still using my flood sale Giro Zen. £25 bargain about 3yrs ago Still looks and feels like brand new (Other than the manky foam sections) but i do question how much longer i should use it. At the prices they are charging now i think i will be getting one of them £10 helmets from Argos to replace it.

Now, I bought one of these to replace my E2 last year and the retail then was £49.99, so apart from the graphics where has the £25 price increase gone to? These are bought in US$ and Sterling has not exactly performed well over recent months against the dollar so prices have gone up considerably.
