how much did it cost in total?
 a bloody sh*t load i imagine

Havent dared work it out! The frame was circa £1300 (same as a Cove Hummer so I reckon a bargain). Forks I got discounted at my LBS. Some of the other bits from Speedgoat who give a quantity discount so the more you buy the more you save (sort of). Wheels I already owned.

it was those chris king hubs that made me wonder. I'd say about 3 grand if you had to buy the wheels as well.

Doesn't Titanium have an inherint spring anyway? i.e. the softtail back end is overkill?
I have to say it looks fecking lovely...not my cup of tea but thats cuz I have no cash to spend!
Nice bike, nice set-up!
Just not sure why a ti bike needs a bouncy back-end...
Not 1 1/4 inches. Plus ti is said to be best material for pivotless suspension 'cos of its inherent spring and memory. I agree that a ti full susser seems overkill. Moots now do their Smoothie in Alu as well.

Moots - gorgeous! I'm thinking about one of their road frames, the Compact Vamoots.
Re the YBB, how's the elastomer stack holding up? Does it require much tlc to keep it smooth after riding in the wet?
Early days yet but it seems fine. Just needs a little teflon lube every now and then. You can always lock it out in the serious mud. Its designed to be simple amd longlasting. Moots sent me their rebuild kit which they say probably needs doing every 18 mths - whether Uk riding or Colorado they didnt say! Looks easy enough to do 'tho.
A lot of Colorado riding conditions aren't vastly different to the UK, so it's probably relevant to either.
Nice bike, BTW. :-)

Speedgoat are fantastic aren't they. I've just got a Superlight with Thomson, all XT and Fox Float RLC 100s for $2500. Much cheaper than everywhere else and the service is great. The website is fun to build custom bikes as well, and they post pictures of each build. Can't recommend them enough.
That is a veritable beauty indeed - though I'll pay the extra and support the local bike industry - they did me a Superlight and threw in my minis pretty much for free!
That'll be the Santa Cruz, California local bike industry then :)
I had a Pace too but the jackhammer ride coupled with 1" steerer and legendary bad customer service made me buy US but in UK!!!!! My race results showed a dramatic improvement - I love caning all those shaven legged sports guys who seem to think each race is an Olympic final on my big riser barred Foxed up full sus pup!
I've seen the bike in the flesh and have to admit its stunning, the weight and the feel of quality is amazing. I'm so glad you didn't pick theAir Forces to go on the front stu. I'm over at cycle surgery now mate so pop on over for a chat one day.
Ian, IKWYM. I would have bought in the UK if I could. But the frame alone was £2k even when they were available here. No complaints about Pace customer service. The Pace felt faster but in fact wasn't - it's just that feeling every bump made it seem that way.

I'm soooo jealous - cracking bike, Stuart. I'll have to try a Ti bike someday...
