The Lithium jacket does sound interesting - except it's Tweety Pie yellow. Urgh! No thanks.

Great!! That was supposed to be the Tyrant Jacket.
Been using a Early but better material, Berghaus AquaFoil for proberley 10years, it still looks new, and has never leaked, very breathable to.

I buy everything berghaus if I can.

At least the Lithium is reversible.

I've just got their Infinity Light (hill walking top) £90 with discount and I've used it on my road bike at upto 32mph and it's very wind proof, very warm and very breatable.

I'm with Dylan Berghaus rocks, it's just shame it's no longer made in the UK

i bought a berghaus jacket four years ago. commuted in it and its never leaked. i'll be having a look at the new ones

do they do one in purple??
May be of interest - A reply to an email sent to Berghaus after I couldn't find any bike gear on their website:

"Berghaus Bike products were sold through an agent - who unfortunately went into liquidation a few months ago. All of the stock was aquired by Wiggle. If you contact www.wiggle.com they may be able to help you with your enquiry. "

Hey misty

I was in the market for some berghaus as well. I cant find any at all on wiggle (they only have the hiking stuff) but the whole range is on CRC with big discounts and shows in stock.

It looks like the guy in Berghaus got his mail order companies mixed up!!

Yeah Mike - forgot to add that Bergaus kit is also on CRC - in fact I just ordered a Lithium jacket from them!

That's right, CRC aquired a lot of stock from Raw Experience when they went bust. They've since reappeared as 2Pure.

i use a non bike specific berghause paclite for rain protection - m&m sports is a good place for this kind of thing - you don;t get the arse flap cut of bike specific - but then you just buy a size bigger...
Just tried on the Lithium jacket - not impressed. The cut isn't right for cycling with way too much material on the front resulting in losts of bunching of excess material. The collar is awful - not high enough and the rear drawcord lock is really irritating on the back of the neck - would be annoying as **** on a long ride. Zippign the arms back on is a trial - they've cut the zip flaps so that they snag under the zip at every opportunity - this would be a real joy stood in a gale in the middle of winter. Despite high hopes - unfortunately this jacket is going straight back. So incidentally is the berghaus cyclng jersey i also ordered - again the collar is too low and loose - tatty even.

Hey Misty

I got a lithium as well and really like it. It fits me really well!

Each to their own I suppose
Yeah - glad it worked for you Mike, just completely wrong for me - maybe I'm an odd shape!. I thought some non-fit specific features were poor like the collar and zip but that's just my opinion of course :)

Berghaus cycle kit went the same way as Karrimor, IIRC, in that it was designed and produced by Raw for the respective brand.

Karrimor stuff looked nicer but went downhill as a product when this happened, IMHO.

You can also get the Berghaus Bike stuff from aktive8. I think there was some tie-up with Raw.
