So nobody lives North of Mansfield then. Thetford - Basically flat, Sherwood pines fairly flat too.

You can only have 5 races that have to fit to a calander and then matched to venues availablity, and offer the best facilties, and still try and cover the uk.

I think its nice to see the SW gets a venue and for a change we don't have to travel all the fecking way to scotland.

I agree with JD. It isn't easy finding venues that fit all the requirements.

This is only a small island after all, and the french got all the mountain;)

Not to mention that the Premier Series is dsigned to find the best overall MTBers not just those who can climb. I think they have a pretty good mix, thetford/sherwood flatter but fast, margam/plymouth more climbing - haven't ridden at Builth but i expect it has a few climb.

If not something to whinge about, complain there is no newnham90 this year(same organiser). 8¬(

At least there is a NPS series with loads of races in a W/E,and a more attractive package it is to.

Same old moans what a suprise.
Newnham, Bulith, Margam how many hills do you want Mr McKendry.

Perhaps its the lack of race organisers oop North, where's your Northern XC race series then?
People in the Midlands, South, Wales and Scotland seem to manage. Perhaps your too busy whinging to get off your backsides

Look at the Scotish NPS race entries for the past 2 years, that will tell you why they are not returning there.

dude I think you'll find there is a Newnham 90 unless I am mistaken on September 4th and 5th. Not sure on the venue though...... just kidding.

I think the reason there are no races up north is because it never gets light.
Am about to marry a northern lass though so best try and change my ways...

... still that's not until next year, god damn northern monkees.

Jack is right

We're not going to do a National somewhere that can't support a regional series. Scotland was an option but the feedback we had was people would rather go to Builth Wells (yes it has climbs - local organiser John lloyd says it will be toughest in Series) Also we had difficulty finding a date that worked for the scottish venues and numbers were low last year.

I thought we had great variety but we'll never please everyone- although i'll keep trying

I'm sure there is more than enough interest for a 'northern' race series but unfortunately a lack of mtb organisers in the are - simba do some good work but they get small entries and £18 for a non-ranking, no prizer series is a little much really. I do appreciate that they are doing their best though.

Hamsterley would be fine and we did some investigation. But without a local series it's hard to justify taking a national there.

Eston always used to be a good venue, it was just the fact that not everyone had their bike to take home with them. Excellent XC course it has/had a bit of everything in it and was really good for spectators.
