Manchester wouldn't be any good - - coz it's not in London. As for MTB venues - you couldn't honestly expect them to pick somewhere with some hills (say Wales or Scotland?)

The 500acre park sounds ok for MTB maybe like newnham, plymouth. They have plenty of time to build a fast track.

I thought that the London bid had proposed a course in Bedford for the MTBing which is already used by the Gorrick series?

I live just 3 miles from Weald, beautiful place. Never been to a mountain bike event so don't know how big they get, just hope they don't start changing the shape of the place too much. Hope they can get it back to its original state after as there is lots of wildlife and wildfowl there.
