 Ti 5-spot anyone?
I reckon if they price this cleverly they could make huge inroads into the market with this frame. If rides anything like the 5-spot and is stronger/lighter/cheaper then I for one would be very interested.

 Ti FS bikes are rarely lighter than their alu counterparts, both the Litespeed Niota and the Titus Racer-X are lighter in alu than Ti.
May still be cheaper and stronger though. :-)

Can't see it being cheaper than an alu one. But it should be stronger (and/or more durable - not necessarily the same thing) and if the weight is comparable and the price reasonable then why not?
The proto's apparently 8lb for a 19in frame with shock.

 Damn thats one sweeet looking bike.......not totally convince with the ti though on a full-suss.....might be a dumb question but why not build the whole lot out of ti?.....wouldnt the combo of alu and ti effect the bikes perfomance.....no?

 no, they use ti on the back triangle for teh shock, otherwise it would probably flex and feel wallowy?

 It's a lot easier to make a suspension back end out of aluminium - you need all those machined bits to take pivots and bearings and things.

 It wouldnt feel wallowy, does alu have preferential characteristics for the forces put on the back end as well then or is it soley a machining technicality?

 here is another with a titanium mainframe with alu swingarm, but they also do a full ti and a full alu, but they mention that the alu back adds rigidity

 You haven't got much space to play with at the back end - you've got to fit the tubes between the chainrings/rider's feet and the tyre while leaving room for mud and stuff. So your tube dimensions are limited. There's not as many choices in Ti as alu, so you tend to end up with fairly small round tubes in Ti, which are a bit twangy. You've got more options in alu - square sections, forged bits, welded hollow yokes - which can all let you get more stiffness.

 lets hope so fourass, would be nice if this country made a succesfull full suspension bike other than orange and edge bikes, edge bikes? has anybody actually ever ridden/owned one of these?
ok, we have globel and muddyfox but they havent exactly set the mountain bike scene alight.
