Mine should be something like 2-4 weeks away... I had the geometry drafted to be pretty close to that of my Kona; I'm wondering now about the wisdom of that... Still, can't wait!

I feel your pain Alan. I'm in the process of moving house (mucho expensive) and have a perfectly nice Cotic Soul that is a year and a bit old. I really really love it.

SO WHY DO I FEEL COMPELLED TO DROP £950 ON A COTIC SODA JUST TO HAVE AN IDENTICAL BIKE IN TITANIUM AND SAVE A POUND IN WEIGHT??????

I will have one.

One day.

Oh yes.

BE CAREFULL !!!

I too shared the same enthusiasm for a CUSTOM Titanium Frame, but was deeply disappointed as i have waited nearly 6 months and two frames later still no joy.

Have now purchased an off the peg frame with full dealer back up.

Please make sure the details of your frame are double checked, then checked again.

Mike, do explain, you could help someone else not be caught out too.....

First frame

Suspension forks fouled the downtube.
Rockshox Reba's, nothing obscure.

Second frame

Bottom Bracket height was way to low.
Around 45mm to low, so kept clipping pedals.

A real pity as it is a great looking frame, with neat welds and tubing.

Still probably would have had another but could not wait any longer as i had already been waiting for nearly 6 months.
who was your custom frame from? Same people?

My custom frame from Dean USA finally turned up a couple of months ago. They took their time (about 6 months) but I'll let them off as I've got another bike to take the abuse of winter riding.
The Dean cost a little way short of twice the Setavento's price but comparing the two of them I'm happy that I've got my money's worth.

Mike, What type of terrain did you test this frame and how long did you test it for?

How does it compare with other Ti frames you have tested?

I made the mistake of ordering one of these frames. I paid up front in August of last year and nearly 7 months later still no frame. I get no reply to emails, no number is available for me to contact anyone on and seeing as the website says it will take 7-8 weeks for production and delivery (it said 6 when I ordered)I feel this is totally unacceptable. A frame did turn up a month ago but the head tube was oval so the headset wouldn't fit. A month later I had my first contact since I emailed them which was just a short reply to say that they will replace the head tube. No reply to my email asking for a new frame as cutting off the head tube and welding on a new one isn't what I paid for.
This was supposed to be my dream frame that would last me a lifetime but it's just a nightmare and any excitement about owning a custom made Ti bike has totally gone along with my trust in these people.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Whilst this has been resurrected, I thought I'd join in to advise that two of my riding pals have ordered from Setavento. One waited about 8 months for the frame to arrive and now it has he seems pleased with it but complained about all the delays and faff. The second guy is still waiting and has been for a similar time frame.

I'm not convinced they know what they're doing and having vicariously lived through the experience with two friends wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Hmmmm, *deletes Setavento from Bookmarks list*

I was looking at this lot when weighing up my custom build - NOW I remember why forums can be quite useful...

As a follow up to my Setavento purchase (eight month delay) a weld has broken at the top of the right hand seat stay where it joins the seat tube. I wish I'd paid more attention to the BM review regarding the welds.

Welds could be sweeter, decals aren't great

Oh - All the decals fell off too.

There's one on eBay

Any more thoughts on these bikes? Looking to sell the Pace HT. Would prefer a 29er HT to try out with but £ is a little tight.

BHB.

Do you mean "there're no limits"? No limits. No.

Really confused with your post. Are you saying No!

To this bike and manufacturer? Or to the eBay listing?

Don't understand the "there's no limits" line.

Not sure what you're trying to say - sorry - can you try and explain that one again?

Thanks

Tim
