It's about bleeding time someone came up with a recovery drink that doesn't taste like watered down mashed potato with sugar in it. Like the marketing strategy too. I reckon it will be a winner.
Now all they need to do is price it properly and sell in bulk direct to the public mail order.
The 'electrolyte cornish pasty' isn't a bad idea either!

Sounds like a marvellous idea, the website is really good too. Clicky

Yeah, it is pretty good isn't it.
Reckon they could put Nutrimix (TM) into scotch eggs? It would surely be easy to put some in the sausage mix and the breadcrumb coating. Mmmmmmmmmm....

Hmmmm, can I blag a free sample by making out that the uni MTB club is anything more than a social one.....?

 Very true.....
But isn't it a post ride drink so theres no need to put it in one? Unless you may be really lazy and just lie there suckling at your camelbak....

Picked up 2 bottle at Morrisons on the way home from work. 79p each. Will try it this weekend and report back.

The High 5 recovery drinks have been around for a while, they taste like milkshake, now, if only I liked milkshakes :-(
nick, what energy gels/drinks/powders do you reccomend to get me round a few laps of a course?
Flapjacks, flapjacks and a handful of crystal meth!
:)
 Mike, YGM.
Flapjacks are too dense when you're racing, but great otherwise. I stick with liquids while I'm racing!
What would be a typical 'meal' for before during and after? I'm interested in trying a proper course of energy products, just to see how much of a difference it makes.
And no more unfunny smartass answers; sorry!

For me: night before: sommat simple, bowl of pasta and a sauce, with some form of meat.
Race day: morning: toast & cereal, nothing too strong flavoured
before race: 2 bars and a bottle of High 5 during race: 1 bottle High 5 per lap plus 1 or 2 gels usually after race: rest of High 5, bar and or gel and whatever looks palatable from the catering van, usually a bacon sarny, as it's usually tuna pasta and I don't like tuna!
In an ideal world I'd probably have pasta afterwards too, but hey.

AHJ - you should get an e-mail fairly soonish
nick, i hope you don't mind, but i'll forward the e-mail to ahj, i'll see whether it's useful or not tomorrow!
as for meals, i go: day before, pastas. morning; just cereal does me afterwards, everything unhealthy :-D
I do much the same Mike, especially the ramming myself with pasta part!
Oh aye, and ta for the email.

Of course I don't mind, I only send it as an email because it was too much to post on here I thought, didn't think people would read it!
I'd stick it up in two or three bits, its rather interesting!
