Is it just me, or does the new Mule look just like the old Hawg?

"The icing on the cake is the choice of colours. But you can't go wrong with black."

goddamn it, now i want cake

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, icing.

IMO Camelbak aren't as good as some other brands at whole hydration pack thing anymore. Deuter and Vaude stuff is better designed and more comfortable for my money. Camelbak's I've had have always been a bit wobbly and unstable, especially when full of gear.

I've got one of the 2006 4Seasons Mules and it's the biz.

I am not sure how I've done without one before as it's more comfortable than my backpack, fits better, I sweat less, keeps all bottles and wedgies off the bike so it handles better and looks a billion times less geeky than a waist-bag!!

Plus, after hours on a stinking hot ride, the liquid was still fridge cool....

Nice.........

Must say i wish my old one had an MP3 player pocket, as my headphone cable is barely long enough.

I don't see how a £70 rucksack can get a five star rating for value

Cyclesuk.com were doing the 2006 Mules for £44.95 including P&P and that was for the 4Seasons, too.

That was a bargain, I thought. Second hand hydration packs were going for nearly that on eBay!

Money well spent, in my opinion.

:))))

Just been out and bought the 4Season, excellent pack, my other one was arunning pack really, a Cloud Walker with a 2l bladder and 20l cargo space. The Mule is much more compact and shouldnt run out on me quite as fast.
not worth the 70 buck

but the mp3 pocket is brilliant

Well I like mine, I can get all the basic repair stuff in it, wallet, phone, waterproof keys etc. It doesn't wobble about too much and even after riding around in 35° of heat the other day I didn't really notice it. Yes it's a little pricey but it does what it says on the tin and do you really want to go back to lots of water bottles saddle bags and bum bags to carry your stuff?

At the 24/12 this weekend I forgot my bladder for my mule - then we saw at the MBR stand that they were selling Gelert bladders (1.5 l) for £2 so Pjordan got me one (ta Paul) - grrreeeaat!

i bought the new Mule at Glyncorrwg Skyline Cycles shop. I had an original Mules from 1995 i think it was. It wasn't big enough to stash all my gear for the Skyline trail...

One impulse buy later and i couldn't be happier with it. Loads of room for gear and food, and a lot more comforatable to boot....

I bought Mrs DK the 06 M.U.L.E. and its great, a bit more heavy duty than my 05 one and also noticably heavier.
Excellent product however.
