Ooooo these look nice! How reliable / prone to filling up with gak is the lacing system? I used to have a pair of Puma trainers in the early nineties (that takes me back) which laced the same way and they were crap! Specialized's design team are obviously listening to too much Pink Floyd in the studio...

we've not had any problems even when they've been caked in mud. and the boa dial and lace is replaceable too should you have any problems

ah, Puma Discs and the days of Colin and Linford. I think they've re-issued a few models. What next, a new twist on the Reebok Pumps?

Mmm: pump up spuds. Best to stay away from sharp bits of flint wearing those, then!

They weigh 350Grams EACH not per pair!
The Pro's weigh 726Grams for a pair, so the difference is not so pronounced as you have suggested :¬(

350 Grams a Pair! Pah! That you should publish such a thing! etc...etc....etc

(Blows into paper bag)

Anyway, easily done.
It's the way that they list them that fools you (Deliberately? Reaches for the bag)

I got a pair of the S-Works ones a couple of weeks ago, they're not quite as comfy as the SIDI Actions they replace, I get problems with heel lift when I run in them, but if I go a size down they cut off the bloody supply to my feet, just need a 44.5 really, shame they don't import it!

Other than that they're stiff as fcuk, grippy tread, easy to adjust and go rather tight if required!

Just wouldn't pay £180 for them!

I've been using a pair for the last year and they've been fantastic, they fit like a sock. I tries all the specialized shoes on and realised they are all the same shoe except with different features, however the S-works shoe are a completely different fit.
and message to Nick Evans above, I got measured for the BG inserts recently and found that i'm a 'green'. Now they're double comfy.

I've finally moved to BG shoes (Trail 120 SL) and have to say they live up to the hype/price. Race stiffness with all day comfort.
