I think that Fluid looks quite good. Proper Horst link and all that. Not a bad price either
I like, but I keep hearing YR BIK IZ CANADIEN SARACING in my ear

lol at 'YR BIK IZ CANADIEN SARACING'
They seem ok, but they don't really stand out IMO, I would imagine they're rather tough though.

 Nice curtains.

SARACING make an FSR-type four bar too don't they? But you don't have to pay the licence fee to Spesh.

Tuts!

i thought that 4x bike looked pertty good for tecky singletrack trails in the alps. not DH ones, but nice and bumpy... reckon the handling would handle it well. uppose if the trails were like the bikevilage ones, but with an uplift it would be perfect...

I've always been of the opinion that Norco should stick to what they know. No reason for the prejudice, but aside from stupidly big travel huck bikes I don't think they've ever brought much to the party.
They do look a bit Saracing....
A sponsored Norco rider is having his new frame made up at my LBS. I saw the dh frame which has to be said looks mighty burly in the flesh (I presume it's that Shore frame pictured as it seemed to look the same). I have to say though that the XC stuff doesn't really inspire.
Aye, they're ugly as sin IMO (all apart from the DH team in white - YUM!).
I wouldn't go as far as comparing them with Saracen, they just don't make very interesting bikes unles you're a Canadian that is only interseted in throwing themselves off big things.
like its been said there not pretty, but for a bike that will take a few knocks on a budget you cant go too wrong. one of my local norco dealers runs a few demo days with norcos on some dh tracks and the bikes dont disappoint.
The DH frame isn't the same as the Shore, although it looks similar.

Enough with the Saracin comments! I own a Fluid, and I'll chuck my toys out of the pram & all over the forum if you don't lay off! http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=yl1k51&outx=800&quality=100Not a standard part left (bar frame & shock), I bought it to replace a 06 S-works Enduro that I hated, but wanted a bike that can handle a bit of abuse & still put in the miles XC stylee. I still can't think of much else that will do the job as well. Each to their own... Cheers.

Nick Evans above tested a Saracin for MBUK and rated it 9/10 IIRC and I've never made negative comment about one. Comparing Norco and Sarecen is something of a compliment isn't it?
 tis tongue in cheek
I broke three Saracen frames in three consecutive years way back. Don't think I'd manage that with a Norco somehow.
"Nick Evans above tested a Saracin for MBUK and rated it 9/10 IIRC " despite it not weight 22lbs and being fully weight weenie certified, interesting.
iirc, nick just posed for the photos, not review it
however, he didn't say many bad things about it afterwards

Problem with most of the Norco's, even the more XC based ones, is they are designed for riding the trails local to Norco's offices. Perfectly logical that, sound idea test riding etc, but we don't all live at the North Shore. The result is that they all have stupidly high BB's for clearing logs, which makes them feel like you are riding on stilts compared to similar travel bikes by other companies. Great if you do want to go tree hopping, less good on the open moors.....
