For anybody looking for a warm and very comfortable place to stay while in Dumfries, have a look at lowkirkbride@btinternet.com
We've just returned from our 4th visit,B&B IS £22 PPPN or you can choose to self cater.
Mabie is 20 mins away, Dalbeatie about 30 mins,Ae about 15 mins as is Drumlanrig, Kirroughtree & Glentress/Innerleithen about 1hr.

I have stayed at Kipford Holiday Park.

Can be cheap as chips and comfortable, choice of camping, static caravan or prefab home, biker friendly with a bike wash and secure storage.

Closer to Mabie / Kirougtree and on Dalbeatties doorstep than the others.

But avoid the Chinese takeaway in Dalbeatie - it's the sort that appears on the life of grime. Stopped here - nice digs, £250 for 4 nights
