Great event and this year's course was spot on.

For the first time in four attempts we achieved our target of finishing in the top 50%, so maybe we can quit now!

Oh no you won't.  WE said that 3 years ago.  Then we beat it the year after etc etc and this ear we finished top 25 and are already talking about improving that.

It's not a problem, I can quit whenever I like, just one last race.......

We started off okay at Trentham 4 years ago then things went downhill at the race for us for the last 3 years,we'd always been dogged with a  catalogue of disasters and catastrophes till last week when we came good and finished 15th,down to 3 men though for a 1/3 of the race too as one member had gut rot otherwise I reckon we'd be knocking on top 10.The 3 of us managed to ride ourselves up to 12th from 16th in the night but lost some ground in the day.Top 10 is the aim next year.

Yea it was the best course I've ridden there.

Pity there are rumours of a venue change next year (according to Joolze Dymond's event review). Will miss it being 15 minutes away from my doorstep

Don't know where it'll move to but doubt a return to Trentham is on the cards.

I don't know,Catton is okay but not as good as Trentham plus its too flat.

What's the course at Eastnor like for the Mountain Mayhem? Anyone?

[Trying to quit by doing a harder event seems like the plan at the moment... ]

Mayhem - in the drying conditions was nice,a couple of hard climbs and some sweet singletrack.

When the rain came...........too tough to describe,2ft singletrack through the bracken become 20ft wide off camber mudslides which cacked up everything.Event the trees sunk into the ground!!

That sounds like Catton last year!
