I'm pretty sure Cannondale made a big noise about doing this with their team fleeces back in the mid 90's (before it was fashionable) and Pedros do it with their tyre levers as well (made from recycled milk cartons).

Good to see someone taking the first step to cutting down the amount of waste cycling produces

Patagonia were the first brand I can remember doing it way back when (93 according to Wiki but I thought it was earlier). Where can you buy synthetic fleece that isn't made from bottles these days? Sorry Cannondale but hyping something so routine earns no brownie points only derision.

Bought some loft insulation from Band Q, was made from Plastic bottles, non itchy and white, not like fibre glass,

Recycle and reuse should be promoted more.

I hereby remove any and all praise that I may have heaped upon Cannondale until they are actually making bikes from the recycled plastic bottles (not as crazy as it might sound for an urban bike).

I still have and wear a Patagonia Snap T Flece bought over 20 years ago, pretty sure they were making them from recycled plastics then.

I've checked Patagonia's site and the first ones were indeed 93. The whole problem with plastic bottles as a raw material is that we shouldn't be buying and putting them in the recycled bag in the first place. The environmental cost of manufacture and transport of bottled drinks is enormous. Besides it puts trucks onto rural roads such as Quézac in the Tarn if I'm being totaly selfish.

If your tap water tastes bad try putting it through a Brita filter or charcoal filter. If it smells of chlorine leave it to stand. The various flavoured drinks from Pepsi and the like just make you fat and poison you with E numbers so live without them. Your beer and wine I'll let you keep just to prove what a pragmatic man I am.

I'm only just becoming able to accept something other than a natural cork in my wine, never mind this bloody screw top nonsense and you're talking about it coming in plastic bottles?

Well Californian wine comes in foil-capped bottles designed to be easy to pee into doesn't it?
