Isn't the Specialized patent/copyright due to expire soon?

I'm sure US patents have a 20 year life span, so by my calculations that takes it to 2009.

If it's from the date when they were originally granted (rather than the date at which Spec' took them on), then two of the key ones appear to run out in 2006 and 2007

20 years seems short to me.  I think I heard somewhere that US patents are for 50 years.

The US Patent and Trademark Office seems to think it's 20 years, and they should know
