I thought Jaja had the best style.

The way he was wearing his helmet - almost sideways - was damned fine.

Now if he had put it on backwards...

He looked like John Wayne, I bet he flicked the front of it with his bidon at the top of the start ramp like some gun-slinger with his pistol!

If Armstrong was deliberately holding back, so as to avoid the pressure of yellow, then bearing in mind Gonzalez started behind him, how would he have known the pace required to make sure he finished there or there abouts.
Still think Once are in a fantastic position, come the mountains they can send Olano up the road early on, he maybe past his best but it'd be a big risk to let him go. US Postal will be forced on the defence, and Once will still have two riders left to counter with. That's not even considering the Kelme double act of Botero and Sevilla, and the potential of Euskatel to cause chaos in the mountains.

Marco, American Wrestling - aren't you a bit old to be watching that?????

What would happen, I wonder, if all the Spanish teams formed a coalition (I know Euskatel aren't 'Spanish')

like when the italians try and form a coalition at the world championships ;-)

Wasnt the latvian or whatever national champion chap in the break the other day saying that knaven was assisting the Rabobank boys when they attacked but none of the french were assisting him? I wonder what Rabo will have to do for Domo in the future?

Thinking about it isnt there such strong rivalry between the spanish teams that they all chase each other down whenever one attacks? I seem to remember Duffield mentioning that last year.

Yeah - ONCE and Banesto in particular - it was almost comedic last year in the Vuelta - a Banesto rider would attack and ONCE would chase it down then visa versa... All the way through...
