Living out of country you realy miss certain things and looking at those big syrupy pieces of flapjack I'm salivating.

What do all you other out of country BikeMagicers miss?

Roll on my next trip home.

C.
I have a good flapjack recipe if you want to have a go at them yourself. Very easy

Car drivers trying to rip my arm off.
The rain, wind and persistant damp.
The tabloid press and ITV.
Taking the bus through Handsworth.
My old job.
That section of the population now called chavs.

Might get back for a jamboree though, the best of British is here on BM.

"What do all you other out of country BikeMagicers miss?"

Perusing internet porn, safe in the knowledge the missus won't catch me.

A pleasure sadly taken away from me when she moved in

Availability of magazines and not paying x amount over the cover price for `shipping`.

BBC Radio; they don't stream footie broadcasts out of the UK. And you can't seem to fool them using proxies.

ITV again for the football; Champions League (Not that we ever do that well in it)

Decent cheap broadband connection to the internets.

Decent off road riding. There's none round here that I've found.

Friends.

I'm sure there's some I've forgotten ;-)

Oh and Kato, one easy solution is to say you were looking for a crack for some software, when, "all these pop-ups came up and I've been battling to close them down for the last five minutes. And then you walked in. It's *really not what it looks like darling."

Of course this won't work if your trousers are round your ankles.
LOL......*Kato bashing off to mature milf.com"

BBC radio is on the Astra 2 satelite Orange. It's digital so the auto search on any universal satelite box finds it. A Woman's Hour drama on Radio 4 at the moment :(

Ahh, I quite often have to use the London Sky card to get to the BBC streams

They won't appear with the Irish card, and if you add them manually it won't work. Bastards.

Talking of radio 4, there's nothing on till `The News Quiz` at half six tomorrow. Although Hitchhikers is on at eleven tonight.

The Beeb is supposed to be 'crypté', coded or whatever you call it but it isn't. A unversal box, motordrive and 85cm dish costs about 300 euros.

a proper fry up (cant find great bacon and certainly no black pudding)

a proper ale

That sounds reasonable. It matters not for the time being though. The football season is over bar the shouting and I'm trying to get back to London so I can taunt my Chelsea loving friends face to face :-)

But Sinead you're there, loik, all the greasy breakfasts Paul can cook loik. I reckon you'll end up in Canada though. Funny but when I visit Brum now I go to the places I used to avoid when I lived there.

lol, its those places that make it Brum! I only miss those stuff when I'm on holiday!

Canada is definately calling me though, be a few years before I'll be able to up and leave though! Its much nicer, even though Brum will always be my home and I'm proud of that!

A good pie - chicken and mushroom (yum)
Decent PORK sausages
BACON (none of this turkey or beef bacon crap)

Snow

Walking outside without getting hot & sweaty after just a few minutes

Queues (i.e. people don't do it here & just barge wherever)

In no particular order...

TV without an ad break every 10 minutes, and with something worth watching in between.

Central heating and double glazing.

The Peak District.

Magazines at a reasonable price and not two months old.

Not much food wise, we've found a reliable source of Bachelors Mushy Peas, but I must find a more flavoursome brand of tea.
