How long before LED is the now then do you think?
they are the now :)

but we are a bit backward in this countreee, oo arrrrrr

My Brother is going to the USA - I've asked him to get me some SLED lights - proably 3 3W torched that run on them iccle camera batteries.

the real future is Cold Cathothode ;)
A while.

U.S.E. still have a bit of work to do as I got two faulty ones in a row, went back to trusty old Lupine, yes it has a separate battery and a lead, but hey, it works!
I'd like to see them as bright as HID but reliabilty wise my Dinotte light has been great so far, not a glitch

That's just the USE ones though Pete, others seem more reliable
I've hear that generaly the 5W SLED are far more fragile than the lower power ones, they seem to have much shorter life spans as well.

I'll let you know

Some of the USE ones seem to packmin after only minutes or hours use though so may be more down to the other electrical components or the way heat builds up in them
maybe you need to ride faster to cool them down more :)
Tell Pete that! :)

Maybe because of 2 LED so close together too I suppose

only 1 LED in the Dinotte
that was ment as a gerneral comment, not directed at anyone ;)

If a light is designed to be used when there is air cooling, it may well overheat if it is used on full power - ie the use ones with both LEDs going, when going slowly or stopped.

I rude Hope Vision twin LED and so far so good and at 39, I don't ride fast either...

I'm 39 and I ride faster than I did 5 years ago.

As far as lighting up the trail goes, I rode in a lightning storm last week and realised just how inefficient most lights really are.

Found myself slowing down until the next flash though, so not really ideal...
