Mavic launches 2009 wheels
That's "wheels for 2009", of course, not "just over two thousand wheels", although they're not far off

Blimey. Thats a lot of niches. Why dont XC people deserve pimp colour wheels?

I dunno, i quite like the look of the new SL's...

can't afford to change from my roval's though. and if i did, i'd get the Cobalts anyway.

You'd break the cobalts with a waft of your student loan forms.

Are you a rent boy now Mike? Wheres all your money coming from?

Not quite enough niches for me. I've got Crossmax Enduros from a few years ago and 08 Crosstrails, both of which have steel spokes. It appears that there are no longer steel-spoked wheels with proper UST rims in the line-up.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the design or structure of the Cobalt wheels. Ok, they look a little odd but they work. Well. Don't knock 'em 'til you ride them.

It's hard enough getting spokes for Mavic 'Systems' now - with the SLR set you have to order by colour as well? Madness. Sure are pretty though

I'm so glad they dropped that British Rail Yellow colour scheme from the Deemax set at last.

I'm probably at work for about 40hrs per week... with occasional long days, last week i pulled 2 17hr shifts (tue & wed) on top of 9-5 (mon, thu & fri) - at £6.50 p/h it soon adds up

I thought you were supposed to be studying.

Wonder if they are suitable for a fat Bstard

A pair of those SL's would take 2 1/2 pounds of the weight of me bike.

A mere snip at a tad over £500

17 hour shifts?

Lazy b@st@rd, when I was your age we used to work 25 hours day and we had to get up before time began, then walk to work on bloody stumps as our Dad's had eaten our legs for brekky after wiping his ass on our heads.

I can't see a weight limit on them anywhere XC so if they failed you could always go the 'fit for purpose' route.

Just had a look at the Mavic site (to check the weight limits, I'm not a geek really) has anyone seen the shoes and clothing yet?

There goes that "surprise" news item

DK, will you hurry up and start riding bikes again? I'm detecting a hint of cabin fever.
