Just read the sparkling review of them and would be keen to get them. Just a wee bit confused about the adjustable travel. Can it be adjusted on teh fly or is it a case you pick your length of travel for the day before you go out?

It's adjustable on the fly, well, while you're stopped at any rate. :-p

Nice one. Thanks very much!

Follow-up (daft perhaps) question - does the shorter travel use the bottom (extended) or top (compressed) end of the travel range? Am I likely to run into geometry problems on a bike that used to have a 100mm fork?

Fraser, as you turn the travel down the fork compresses - so you should be fine.
I bought a set last week, just need to get out and break em in a bit before posting a review...

Only concern is that the manual states not to continue turning the u-turn dial once maximum travel is reached - but how do you tell when its @ max travel? The alloy stanchioned forks in the range have markings on to tell you, but the steel on the tora doesnt seem to. Any ideas?

Thanks for that Mark, I've just ordered them up!

On the travel front, how about setting it to minimum (85mm) and marking that (with a CD-R pen perhaps), and then extending it until you get 45mm from the first marking?

Alternatively the manual for the Tora on the RockShox website seems to suggest that one turn of the U-Turn knob equates to 7.5mm of travel. So 45mm would be - um - 6 turns.

Does that make sense?
