ok then, i need bloody strong cranks for under £100, less if possible, i'm thinking on-one reetards, but they are a bit too much really. either that or i buy another set of FSA arms and get some good ones at christmas.
Truvativ do a splined set including BB for about £105. Meant to be pretty strong.
Dom.

i'm not too keen on alloy cranks, i'm 18stone and the isis system looks dodgy to me anyway.
The ISIS system isn't dodgy at all - the only probs I've had with mine is the left crank bolt undoing. Nothing wrong with alloy cranks either, as long as you get good ones. Some ideas:
Can you get Kona Bulges in this country? They're supposed to be pretty strong.
You can get a set of Black Spire cranks from chain reaction for £80 atm - that's a pretty good deal, and Black Spire make good solid stuff.
Lastly, I wouldn't buy another set of FSA arms, especially if you've had problems with them before.
well i'm still using them at the moment, but they seem to be a little bent after my sea-wall to concrete drops and stair jumps this weekend.
i've not had any luck with TRuvativ cranks, they seem to be made of soft alloy and always bend..all my mates with P3 jump bikes have replaced their cranks and bottom brackets for the same reasons.
Get Octalink splined b/b and splined Shimano cranks(Deore or LX) and you won't go wrong, if you have more cash get Raceface Prodigy and ISIS splined b/b about £130-£140. If you want cromoly cranks for £100 check out Gussets, Reetards (same as Primo bmx), the 2002 24/7 Dark Angels or DMR's Chieftan (a bit more at £130).
Get some more FSAs, but not the shitty Aluminium ones, get some of their 3pc steel ones, £100 and with a 10 year warranty. Mine feel nice and stiff (compared to XTs, Middleburns and afterburners) and haven't creaked once in about 5 months
brant should do you the reetards for £99 becuase you bought a frame,
Dan
get em in raw becuase they look pimp, even pimper when the laquer rubs of and you get big rust marks, looks fantastic
Dan (luver of rust)
yeah! the rust streaks dare you to mock them. raw is a good finish or an mtb. i think the polished look pathetic.
and you didn't even notice you'd twisted your left crank arm til i got on you bike, turned the cranks a few times and went "what the f**ks up with your crank?" riding with reetards does that to you!!!
dan, i did have him down to £100 with a chainring a while ago but now he's gone up again!
I'm pretty Big (15 stone) and have Middleburn RS7s they are still perfect after 18mths of Jumping, X Country and three Alpine trips well worth every penny.
i switched to reetards after killing my RS7's in 3 weeks, reetards are better than the profiles on my BMX :-)
Dan
and i can get two rings and a mech working with them. (i hate cheap chain devices!)
Rob Cole, reetards dont look like Primo cranks, did you mean snafu by any chance ?
Dan
i don't want to get the FSA's or any other pinch-bolted cranks for that matter. not after seing priss pringles on saturday.
.gif) yep, the pinch bolt head went on mine and have left the remaning thead is still in it and i can't be arsed to get it repared or get new bearing for that matter cos i'm going to (sometime) get some new ones and now it just wobbles but not when u pedal cos then they have presure on them, there still as stiff as ever. my bikes really sounding fu*ked now, lol
priss
