Hi, I'm looking at buying a pair of Ortlieb Back-Roller Classic and wondering where to buy them from. Does anyone know who sells them online? So far I've seen them on http://www.wiggle.co.uk, but haven't found them elsewhere (I want a yellow pair, they only have dodgy grey/black/blue!).

Dunno. Ask the distributor. They're very helpful.

www.sjscycles.com usually do Ortliebs. They are based down in Cornwall. But so far as I know there is nowhere sells them for significantly less than you would pay in your lbs.

Hey guys cheers for the replies. >> Dunno. Ask the distributor. They're very >> helpful. Will - good idea I'll check out their site right now. Ah ok not a lot to see there, I mailed someone about it anyway cheers for that :) Phil - I did actually check on sjs cycles but I couldn't see any ortliebs :( Maybe they're just out of stock at the moment (or are they there but I just can't see them)? I was hoping to get a bargain and after searching for 'ortlieb' in thread titles here, I found one link to a 'bargain' for ortieb panniers: http://www.bikemagic.com/forum/forummessages.asp?URN=22&UTN=21338&SP=&V=6the site the guy refers to though: www.bicycles.dedoesn't seem to do ortlieb stuff any more (and I can't see the english version of that site he mentions either):( The post was *ages* ago though (over a year), probably they also stopped stocking them.

Stephen: I did have a look through all the cycle shops listed on bike magic (from the side panel <----------- here!), including cycle surgery - but couldn't find ortlieb panniers there... I'll have another quick look now see if I missed them on the site, otherwise I'll give this chap a call.
Ahhh DOH they do have ortliebs... cheers mate :) Seem very reasonably priced too (and they do yellow rollers hehe:). Much obliged, cheers.
Phil cheers again, another site for the bookmark list :)

 Ortlieb kit is excellent. Enjoy!

Does anyone have experience with the Ortlieb carrier system that converts the pannier into a rucksack? Is it quick enough for commuting? The only alternative I've seen is the Vaude Cycle 25, which appears to have the rucksack straps attached already. Thanks, Nick

I got mine along with a Tubus rack from a German internet retailer, bike-components.de However I've seen the puke green ones for as little as 50e.

The difference between the Ortlieb back roller classic v back roller v back roller plus v bike packer classic v bike packer plus seem rather marginal? Is it worth paying more?

More upmarket versions have slightly more versatile mounting options - not a huge issue IMO, I use the Classics with no problems.
