Is anyone in the bike industry going to take Race Face to task over this crap bottom bracket that are still being fitted as OE on bikes for sale in this country?
If your thinking of buying a bike and it has this BB fitted get it changed before you wheel it out the shop (or buy it over the internet)

it is the most shocking bb ever produced, the bearings are like fishing weights and are actually smaller than the grit. the one on my bike locked up on its first ride pulling out onto a round about, very scary. it had thrown one of the bearings out which had then become lodged between the shaft and the casing.

Is the shop the sold it you taking Race Face to task? I bet not! I get the impression that until they have sold all the faulty units they may well bury their heads in the sand and the customers will be putting up with the hassle. i hope everyone that has been plagued by race Face's poor quality sends them a complaining e-mail- they will probably only listen when someone like youself gets wiped up by a car or has a big off and sues.

Whilst I have my best angry head on and feel literate I have just fired off an e-mail to Race Face (they will probably just bin it but I'll let you know if they reply) and one to Silverfish the Importers who must have some UK responsibility re this state of affairs. Jeez, I used to think that grumpy Old men program was just made up, turned 41 and am now one of them!!

Any company, that sells sub standard kit that just doesn't do the job, even with the bottom of the range OE stuff, does not deserve to be in business.

Race face, Large ring on my GT, rarely used, only bit of theres I'll likely ever own / use and thats cause it came on the bike.

Dont get me on to the chainrings-how soft are they bent one tooth on the outer and could bend it back with my fingers1 I have to say you cant beat the Big S for quality and durability.
