A friend at work is after a multi tool I have narrowed it down to either the Crank Brothers Multi 17 or 19 (depending on how much he is willing to spend) following good reviews on both. I had heard that the chain tool is not the easiest to use and as he wants it mainly for the chain tool I'm slightly nervous about recommending them. Anyone got any experience of the chain tool. I know it hasn’t got the facility to ‘cure’ stiff links. Anyone got any other recommendations, I use a Topeak Power 21 but it’s a bit behind the times.

I have the 17 and have used the chain tool on a few occasions and found it very good. Better than the park tools one I also own
