Had a problem with my Crank brothers pump, Every time i connected it to an inflated tire it would blow the rear part to the fully extended position..

Any how i had lost my receipt despite being able to find one for everything else and the Saturday gimp at halfrauds was less than helpful ("cant do anything unless you have a receipt") despite it having a lifetime warranty....

sent an e-mail to Crank brothers and got a full set of strip down instructions (hadn't attempted to take it apart till tonight See name above) ;-) and surprise surprise it went back together working again.....

((the rubber non-return valve had moved off its seat))

So thanks to Crank Brothers Normally you E-mail a manufacturer and get no reply so it was a surprising to get a 2 page download link with colour photos and an explanation...

I just had a similar problem, with one of these, the non-return is a tiny piece of rubber, held by a flimsy spring, I cleaned it and cut a new rubber, bingo! Now the gauge works well too!
   
  

I had some broken Egg Beater Sl's, which i needed for mayhem. I took them to the bike shop the week before, who said they wouldn't get them back in time, and to give 2pure a ring.

They asked me to take the pedals to Mayhem. The morning before it started, i took the pedals to them, a couple of hours later i had working pedals. Wahey!

its a bit crap to be giving halfords slack cause they didnt swap it, think of it from their view, whos to say you bought it from them in the first place? you could got it somewhere else and just been chancing it taking it back there.
