I've an old Trek Y-11 but the rear shock (Fox Alps 4) has given up the ghost. I'm looking to spend around £100-150 on a replacement. Ideally with a lock-out as will be getting back into road riding, but is mainly used on the brown stuf so not essential.

 Any suggestions?

If you can get a RS Pearl 3.1, you'll have lockout - fully active and an array of platform settings in between.

If you can stretch to a little more, check out DT shocks.
