I've got a (moderatley) interesting loop around Pudsey Calverly - but I'm tied up for the next two weeks or so.
I've got a (fairly easy) figure-8 loop starting at Apperley Bridge, up through Calverley Woods to Greengates, Fagley, Priestthorpe, Calverley, back down through the woods to Apperley Bridge, up to Spring Wood (Guiseley), Esholt & finishing with an easy blast along the towpath back to Apperley Bridge again.
Anyone interested? suggested days?

 Count me in. Wednesday evening?

Wednesday's good, 7pm? start near the petrol station on Harrogate Rd, near the Stansfield Arms?

Hi guys, I'll be working on my car (again) Wednesday. Hopefully it should be fixed by Thursday, so I will be out to play next week (hopefully fingers crossed touch wood).

Wednesday, 7pm, at the petrol station near the Stansfield Arms. See you there.

John, Have had a look at a map and I know the route you mention (Apperley/Calverley/Fagley/Priestthorpe). Not a bad little loop but will only take about 45mins. What about doing the Bingley Bash shown on singletrackworld? We can ride up the canal and then do the loop? What do you reckon? This will give us a bit more of a ride out...
Sounds like a good idea. Do you want to meet up in Bingley or Shipley then? As I live in Baildon, its a 12 mile ride to Apperley Bridge & then back again before I've even started...:-)
Anyone else interested ?
Meet in Shipley. I will be coming down the canal, so somewhere near Salts Mill I s'pose.....(_!_)

 Damn... my moonie failed...........................................................(_!_)

 Steve
How about by Ellis Briggs' bike shop - it's right on the canalside, before you get to the Ibis hotel? Is 7 o'clock still ok?
my BM email address is my home one, my mobile is 07940 124457

I think I know where the shop is.....see you at 7.(I'm looking for a halibut on a Gary Fisher, right?)
something like that :-) the missus says it looks like a fish, too...

You guys make it out last night? I'm pleased to say my car is now fixed (test drive permitting)! I should be up for playing out next week if anyone fancies it...
I'm trying to put together a route from Headingley-Horsforth-Golden Acre-Headingly. Sort of an urban/rual pootle (10-15 miles ish (I dont have a computer)). Lots of singletrack, burnt-out cars and scary council estates when I did it the other day! At least it keeps you spinning those legs:-S Anyone interested once I've put the finishing touches to it?
Neil

Yeah, we went on the Bingley Bash. Got as far as the Guide Inn & the skies opened :-(
You're right, Altar Lane is a killer!
Headingley route sounds good.

Yes like the sound of the Urban Cowboy type ride.
Need time to recover fron a C2C this week end so Wednesday night earliest but Thursday is better - where do we stsrt from?
Any time/any day is cool with me. Thursday 7pm provisionally then? A good place to start from could be the oak/skyrack pubs - that way we could go for a pint afterwards if anyone fancies it (sit in the skyrack beer patio so the bikes don't get pinched). There should be easily enough parking there at 7pm. Streetmap links are here and here. From Leeds Centre just go NW on the A660 'till you see the oak and skyrack pubs on opposite sides of the road. This is also adjacent to a big church (St. Michael's) and a war memorial (both on L). If you pass a large row of shops with Safeway on your R and Stif on your L, you've gone too far. Turn L immediately before the skyrack and there should be lots of parking. I'll sit next to the war memorial. The route will have a lot of FP's on it... I'll scope it out again tonight/early next week to check for mud/scally factor etc. Neil

Hang on, those links are totally wrong... Should be here and here. St Michael's lane is what we're after!
Sounds good. Any secure(ish) parking nearby?
You'll be fine parking round the pubs. There's always loads of people out and about so it'd be very, very difficult to break into a car without being caught!
